Lyrics Quiz: Namechecks

New lyrics quiz - songs that mention other bands/musicians. Lots of "classic rock" tracks here. E should have no trouble with this (apart from the Geddy Lee song, funnily enough).

  1. "Well I hope Neil Young will remember, a Southern man don't need him around anyhow."
  2. "Don't believe in Elvis. Don't believe in Zimmerman. Don't believe in Beatles. I just believe in me."
  3. "Frank Zappa and the Mothers were at the best place around."
  4. "Dwight Yoakam's in the corner, trying to catch my eye. Lyle Lovett's right beside me with his hand upon my thigh."
  5. "And my brother's back at home with his Beatles and his Stones."
  6. "Trees went by, me and Del were singin', Little Runaway, I was flyin'."
  7. "I got your body right now on my mind and I drunk myself blind to the sound of old T-Rex."
  8. "What about the voice of Geddy Lee? How did it get so high? I wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy?"
  9. "I've got the obligatory Hendrix perm. And the inevitable pinhole burns all down the front of my favorite satin shirt."

Answers will be posted in the Comments section later.
